Who You'll Work With
Who you'll be working with.
I'm Michael Pitts, founder of Slate Financial.
I've spent ten years in church ministry and church finance — currently CFO of a mid-size evangelical church in Atlanta while leading in worship. I've closed the books, built budgets, tracked restricted funds, run capital campaigns, and turned financial reports into decisions pastors and boards can use.
Churches don't need generic small-business bookkeeping with church words added on top. Church finance has its own realities — restricted gifts, clergy housing, designated giving, board reporting. Slate is built for that, by someone who's lived it.
Why Slate
Purpose-built and intentionally hands-on.
Slate works with a small number of churches, not high volume. You get direct attention and a real person, not a portal — someone who knows your numbers, explains them plainly, and picks up the phone.
